At a point of leadership change in my department, when I and other women were promoted to new roles with a smaller team than before, Karman helped us through the transition. We chatted regularly and often joked that it felt as if she were a therapist. But sometimes you need that at work!

Karman was an unbiased ear, someone I could be honest with about challenges and the realities of office politics. She responded with empathy and humor and drew on her decades of corporate experience to offer practical ‘been there, done that’ advice on how to reallocate responsibilities, manage workloads, network internally and boost morale – both our team’s and our own.
